Open Thread: Western Conference Play-in Tonight

Image Photo by Adam Pantozzi/NBAE via Getty Images Lakers vs. Pelicans, Warriors vs. Kings As o Sunday night, the standings were 7th- New Orleans Pelicans 8th- Los Angeles Lakers 9th- Sacramento Kings 10th- Golden State Warriors Tonight at 6:30 p.m., the Lakers take on the Pelicans in New Orleans. The winner of which will be the 7th seed while the loser will face elimination at the hand’s of the winner of tonight’s second game between the Golden State Warriors and Sacramento Kings, starting at 9:00 p.m. Personally, I am rooting for the Pelicans and Kings because I’d like to see some new faces in the postseason. That said, LeBron and Curry facing off for the eighth and final seed would be a great game to watch. Pedigree and championship experience lean toward the Lakers in 7th seed and Warriors in the 8th, but, hey, anything can happen. Are you rooting for anyone in particular? Are you surprised to see the standings as they are? Assuming for a moment that either the Lakers or Warriors could be the 8th seed, is there a chance OKC buckles under the pressure of a seven game series? Or is this the era of Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, and those champions of yesteryear are exactly that...the past. Welcome to the Thread.
