VOTE: Do the Rockets end up extending Jalen Green?

Image Troy Wayrynen-USA TODAY Sports Houston is going to need to decide what to do with Green. Welcome to SB Nation Reacts, a survey of fans across the NBA. Throughout the year we ask questions of the most plugged-in Houston Rockets fans and fans across the country. Sign up here to participate in the weekly emailed surveys. Jalen Green had an up-and-down year. After some early struggles, he had an absolutely torrid March, before cooling off again to end the season. He finished the season averaging 19.6 points, 5.2 rebounds and 3.5 assists on 42/33/80 shooting splits. There’s been little difference in his overall lines and shooting percentages since his rookie season. The Rockets hold a $12.5 million team option for this coming year, but after that, Green becomes a free agent. His qualifying offer is expected to be around $16.2 million, but he’ll likely command more than that and will be looking for a big contract. But has he proven himself deserving of one? The former second overall pick hasn’t yet taken the next step we’ve been waiting for, and the Rockets have a lot of decisions to make, with multiple young players on the roster who will due extensions in the next few seasons, big salaries paid to Fred VanVleet and Dillon Brooks, and another incoming third overall draft pick should the Rockets decide to keep the selection. There were already rumors this past trade deadline that Houston was looking to move on from Green. So what we want to know is, do you think the Rockets ends up extending Green as part of their core future?
