Nets' Mikal Bridges still 10th in NBA Eastern Conference frontcourt All-Star voting

The Brooklyn Nets are in the midst of their worst stretch of this season and it isn’t even close to anything that they’ve experienced earlier in the year. However, one of the players on the team could be looking at a possible All-Star Game bid with the way that the voting is shaking out. In the third fan returns released by the NBA on Thursday, Nets guard Mikal Bridges is still holding on to his spot with the 10th-most votes among Eastern Conference frontcourt players. In the first fan returns, Bridges had the seventh-most votes and in the second fan returns, he slid to 10th in the voting. Based on how Brooklyn’s season has been going lately, it’s likely that none of the players, Bridges included, will make it to the All-Star Game because of how much winning is taken into account. Be that as it may, he is still having a good season. Bridges, 27, is averaging 21.4 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 3.7 assists per game while shooting 44.8% from the field and 34.3% from three-point land. However, one of the reasons that Bridges may not make the All-Star Game is because of how this season is viewed by many as a disappointment given what was expected of him after how he played for the Nets last season. Mikal Bridges is still 10th in voting for Eastern Conference frontcourt players. #Nets https://t.co/5WR1PInoQL — Sharif Phillips-Keaton (@SharifKeaton) January 18, 2024 Nets' Dariq Whitehead diagnosed with a left shin stress reactionNets' Mikal Bridges (shin) probable for Friday's game against LakersReport: Nets 'shying away' from Hawks' trade price for Dejounte Murray Email Sign up Like this article?
