Mavericks vs Clippers Preview and Game Thread: So it begins

The Dallas Mavericks are in Los Angeles Sunday afternoon for game one of the first-round match-up of the NBA playoffs, facing off against the Los Angeles Clippers. The game starts t 2:30 on ABC. This is the third time these two teams have matched up in the first round, with the Clippers winning both series in 2020 and 2021. Los Angeles enters the series as the fourth seed and Dallas is the fifth seed. Let’s get to the main things:

The injury reports are light. For Dallas, Tim Hardaway is listed as questionable with an illness but head coach Jason Kidd reports that he will be available. For the Clippers, Kawhi Leonard is listed as questionable but has been ruled out. That latter item is HUGE and could change the series. We’ve written a ton on this series in the past week.
