Image(Photo by Casey Sykes/Getty Images)   The Atlanta Hawks are off to a slow start this NBA season. They have a record of 8-9 and are already looking for ways to improve their team. Each season, the NBA trade market is full of big names and players looking for a change of scenery. One player whose name has been floated around a bunch is Toronto Raptors forward Pascal Siakam. It appears Siakam is one player that is on the Hawks’ radar. According to Michael Scotto via NBACentral, the Hawks are monitoring Siakam and his situation in Toronto. He is an All-Star-caliber player, but best used as a number two option. Pairing Siakam with Trae Young and Dejounte Murray would give the Hawks a dangerous Big 3. On the season, Siakam is averaging 19.8 points, 7.0 rebounds, and 5.2 assists. With the Raptors starting the year 8-10, the end could be near for Siakam. The Eastern Conference is the weaker of the two. This means it will be easier for the Hawks to get into the playoffs in the East. As we have seen in recent years, the hottest teams can make a run in the postseason. No one thought the eighth-seeded Miami Heat could make the NBA Finals last year but they did. Adding Siakam would not make the Hawks favorites in the conference, but they would be a team to be reckoned with.
