Milwaukee Bucks vs. Indiana Pacers Game 3 Preview: We have ourselves a series

Image Benny Sieu-USA TODAY Sports Can the Bucks get back in the W column? As an old adage says, “the series doesn’t start until a home team loses.” Well Bucks fans, the series is underway. After the Milwaukee Bucks took Game 1 in decisive fashion, the Indiana Pacers woke up and cruised to a Game 2 win to even the series. On Friday, the Bucks will be making their road postseason debut, as they head to Gainbridge Fieldhouse for Game 3. Where We’re At It has been a story of two games for the Bucks and Pacers to start this series. Damian Lillard scored 35 points in the first half in Game 1, and his supporting cast carried the baton from there. They were up by 27 at halftime and had no trouble avoiding a horrific collapse. Game 2 was a completely different story. Pascal Siakam and Myles Turner carried Indiana’s offense early and created quick rebuttals to anything Milwaukee got to fall. Still, Milwaukee kept up, and the teams traded slim leads up into halftime. The teams kept going back-and-forth in the third, but it felt like the Pacers had a perpetual 8-point lead. The Bucks brought the score within 4 points in the fourth, but the Pacers went on a 23-4 run to completely run away with it. It’s tough to win when that happens! For what it’s worth though, Damian Lillard still finished with 34 points on 10-for-21 from the field, so hopefully he can keep carrying that heightened offensive load with Giannis still unavailable heading into Game 3. Injury Report The Pacers are healthy besides losing Bennedict Mathurin for the season. Giannis Antetokounmpo and Chris Livingston are doubtful for Friday’s game, while Khris Middleton is questionable. Player To Watch The Bucks are going to have to find a way to stop Pascal Siakam. He had 36 in Game 1 and 37 in Game 2, and those numbers have come with some elite efficiency. If the Bucks can keep him in the low-to-mid 20s in Game 3, I think it could go a long way in helping them regain the advantage in this series. How To Watch ESPN and Bally Sports WI at 4:30 PM CDT.
