Battle, Kaluma, Tyson Among Blazers’ First Draft Workouts

Image Photo by G Fiume/Getty Images The first set of prospects visit Portland today. The Portland Trail Blazers announced their first pre-draft workouts, taking place today (social media link). These workouts are focused on players currently projected for the second half of the first round, or somewhere in the second round. This is the first time these players have been linked to interest from the Blazers. The six players visiting the facility, and links to their profiles on ESPN: RaeQuan Battle has strong links to the region, as a Pacific Northwest native in all meanings of the word. A member of the Tulalip Reservation, he was the first to receive a full Division I scholarship. West Virginia is his third college stop, after stints at the University of Washington (located close to Tulalip) and Montana State.
