The Philadelphia 76ers faced a challenge when they invaded the Target Center on Wednesday night to take on the Minnesota Timberwolves. Not only was it the second night of a back-to-back, but it was also the night before Thanksgiving, and Philadelphia was missing star big man Joel Embiid due to left hip soreness.The Sixers deserve credit for fighting and scrapping all night long despite the obvious size disadvantage, but it wasn’t enough. The Timberwolves walked away with a 112-99 victory led by budding star Anthony Edwards who had 31 points, six assists, and six rebounds for Minnesota.Tyrese Maxey had 16 points, eight assists, and five rebounds on the night for Philadelphia, De’Anthony Melton had 16 points and six rebounds, and Marcus Morris Sr. added 16 points.
