Soaring Eagles Support for 76ers

Support for Each Other is What Philly Teams Do Best. They Always Have. Image Photo Courtesy of Philadelphia Sports Nation on X. Like in many aspects of Philadelphia and it’s historic past, our sports teams stick together. Win or lose, they route for each other.  Last month, Kelly Oubre Jr. was struck near the corner of Spruce and Hicks Street while walking in Philadelphia. Authorities are looking for a silver vehicle that left the scene. Oubre is now back with the team after suffering “significant” injuries. Image Photo Courtesy of Philadelphia Sports Nation on X. On September 26th, Kelly Oubre Jr. signed a one-year $2.8 Million contract with the 76ers. Image Photo Courtesy of Philadelphia Sports Nation on X. The news came nearly a week after Charelle Parker defeated Republican David Oh to become the 100th mayor of the City of Philadelphia. Parker’s administration will have to deal with the crime statistics in Philadelphia that now includes 39 hit and run vehicular deaths thus far in 2023. Two weeks ago, Jalen Hurts and the Eagles attended the Sixers and Lakers Game at the Wells Fargo Center. Coach Nick Nurse took a photo with Hurts, and Jalen met LeBron James as well. Several Eagles players attended the game as the fans in the crowd broke into a chant of “MVP, MVP.” After all, Jalen Hurts needs somewhere to go on Monday nights when Eagles games aren’t flexed into the late hours the night before. It’s how Philadelphia teams should support each other in 2024. It’s just the way that Benjamin Franklin would have wanted it three hundred years ago. Sticking together is how we do it in Philly. It is how we always have. The post Soaring Eagles Support for 76ers appeared first on Philadelphia Sports Nation.
