The Philadelphia 76ers had a tough challenge ahead of them when they paid a visit to Zion Williamson and the New Orleans Pelicans in the bayou on Wednesday to kickoff their road trip. They were already without key wing players Kelly Oubre Jr., Danuel House Jr., and Jaden Springer, but they had to rule out Joel Embiid roughly half an hour before tipoff.With no Embiid to protect the basket, Williamson had a field day for New Orleans. He had 33 points on 11-for-12 shooting with eight rebounds and six assists as he made it look easy all night long. Philadelphia didn't have a real answer for him in a 124-114 loss. Tyrese Maxey led the short-handed Sixers with 33 points, but he had four turnovers to only three assists on the night.
